On Thursday, December 31, 2020, Elsie, age 90 entered eternal rest with her loved ones by her side. Born on January 15, 1930, daughter of George and Zada (nee Lingo) Gohs of Cincinnati. Elsie graduated from Blanchester High School, class of 1949. She owned and ran several businesses in the community with the last being the S & S drive thru. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William E. Stewart; sisters, Ida Thompson and Wilma Kratzer; grandchildren, Beth Thomas and Tony Stewart. Elsie is survived by her children, Dennis (Sharon) Stewart, Ruth Ann (Kurt) Baumann, Billy (Shea Powell) Stewart, Jane (Bill) Thomas, and Patty Stewart; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11am until the time of service. Interment will take place a Blanchester IOOF Cemetery, Blanchester, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association and/or Community Care Hospice. The family would like to thank the community of Blanchester for their overwhelming support and care of our mother and business through the many years of ownership.
