Elsie Mae Gibbs, 79, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Milford, Ohio.

She was the beloved mother of David Gunkel, Jeffrey Barber, and Bob Harman; loving grandmother of Jeremy and Christopher Barber; dear sister of Oscar Barber; cherished aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gibbs; parents, Ezra and Amie Barber; sister, Joyce Spears.

Friends will be received from 4 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W Main St., Blanchester, Ohio.

The funeral service for Elsie will be held at 12 PM on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home-Blanchester.

Interment will take place at Plainview Cemetery, Newtonsville, Ohio.
