Elmer Smith of Cincinnati, OH, went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2022, at the age of 97. Born on May 16, 1925, in Hazard, KY.

Beloved husband of Margie Smith and the late Peggy (nee Napier) Smith. Loving father of Gloria (Larry) Kroeger and the late Richard E. Smith. Father-in-law of Adrian Smith. Caring grandfather of Rick (Samantha) Smith, Kelley (Ed) Granger, Sherry (Jim) Reynolds and Kimberly (Randy) Cox. Proud great-grandfather of Brittany Spies, Casey Cox, Amber Cox, JD Reynolds and Jayden Smith and great-great grandfather of Sophia and Rex Spies, Sophia, Kimberly and CJ Jones and Alynia and Derrick Rawlings. Dear brother of the late Forest Smith and Opal Riddle. Cherished son of the late Lando Stewart and Rosalee (nee Brewer) Smith.

Elmer proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient.

Friends will be received from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, December 5 at the House of Restoration, 1487 St. Rt. 131, Milord, where services will begin at 12 Noon. Pastor Leon Petree and Pastor Brian Suttleworth will be officiating.

Interment with military honors at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.
