HELTON Elmer of Pleasant Plain, OH. Beloved husband of the late Juanita Fay (nee Meadows) Helton. Loving father of Jerry (Charlotte) Helton, Larry ( Melea) Helton and Pamela (Paul) Armacost. Caring grandfather of 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Fred Helton, Haley Brock, Arlen Helton, Leonzia Helton, Bessie Helton, Paul Helton and Ernest Helton. Special Friend of Ruth Ritt. Preceded in death by his parents; James and Edna Mae (nee Blevins) Helton and three brothers; Reme Helton, Robert Helton and Gilbert Helton and three sisters; Evelyn Duff, Kathleen Jordan and Marie Riley. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sunday, March 2, 2008, age 76. Friends will be received at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 1668 St.Rt. 28, Goshen, Thursday, 6 – 8 PM, where services will be on Friday, March 7, 11 AM. Interment with military honors, Edwardsville Cemetery, Harlan Township. Elmer served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Reverend James Earl McKinney and Reverend Tim McGlone will be officiating the service.
