Obituary

Eleanor Murray, 96, of Loveland Ohio, passed away on April 19. 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E Murray Jr. They spent 50 years together, enjoyed many rounds of golf and raised a loving family. She had many hobbies over the years and loved sports. No one could root for the Reds, Bengals or the UNC Tarheels any better! Recently she became a soccer fan and avidly cheered for FC Cincinnati. Many game nights were had with her children and grandchildren. There weren’t many card games she didn’t play. And Yahtzee could get loud and competitive!

Eleanor was born in Yonkers New York to Oscar and Margaret Schuck. She is survived by her children James (the late Linda) Murray III, Kathi (Bill) Swift, Michael (Patricia) Murray, Peggy (Steve) Roark, and Susan (Jeff) Szekely.

Grandchildren include James Murray IV, Paul Murray, Scott Murray, Bret Swift, Stacey Huddle, Stephanie Trotta, Michael Murray, Jessica Baechle, James Roark, Erin Aultman, Jennifer Szekely, Joseph Szekely, and Steven Szekely.

She was also blessed with great grandchildren Aubrey, Makayla, Chloe, Logan, Katie, James, Rogan, Luella, Ruby, Savanna, Sutton, Sawyer, Eleanor, Pearl, Evelyn, Annie, Caroline, Charlotte, and Adele.

She is also survived by her siblings Margaret Roosa and William Schuck (Sheila). She was preceded in death by her brother Oscar Schuck.

She leaves behind quite a legacy and will be deeply missed.

A Mass and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday May 22 at 11:00 am at St Susanna Catholic Church, located at 616 Reading Rd, Mason, OH 45040.
