Elaine C. Caraccilo

1937-2025

Beloved wife of the late Nicholas J. Caraccilo. Loving mother of Nick (Theresa Klum) Caraccilo and Joseph Caraccilo. Cherished grandmother of Alexis Caraccilo and Olivia Caraccilo. Passed away March 15, 2025 at the age of 87.

Elaine was known for her love of dancing and impersonations. She was homecoming queen in 1954 in Yorkville, Ohio. She was selected with four girls to pose for the dedication of the new swimming pool in her hometown. After graduation, she moved to Washington D.C. where she worked for United Mine Workers. After two years, she met and married Nick Caraccilo, who was in the Air Force. They were married and had two sons, Nick and Joseph. She and her family were transferred to Scott Air Force Base for five and a half years. They were sent to Tripoli, Libya for three years. They then spent one and a half years in Austin, Texas, where her husband retired with twenty years in the Air Force. Then settled in Columbus, Ohio. They had two grandchildren, Alexis and Olivia. She cared for her husband until he passed in 2013.
