Edward L., of Mason, OH, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2014 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Palmer) Simpson for 63 years. Loving father of Barbara (Bill Friskey) Hall, Peggy (Mark) Mitchell and Linda (Greg) Lunsford. Dear grandfather of Michael (Jennifer) Hall, Dennis (Melanie) Kettler, Edward (Margaret) Kettler and Dawn (Daniel Barber) Renfro and great grandfather of Max Hall, Currin Hall, Abby Kettler, Sophia Kettler, Lily Kettler, Samantha Kettler, Emmi Barber and Charlotte Kettler. Brother of the late Donald Simpson. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, March 12th from 6 to 9 PM at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Deerfield Twp., OH under the military direction of the Southwest Ohio VFW Memorial Team and active duty US Army. Pallbearers for Edward will be Mark Mitchell, Dennis Kettler, Edward Kettler, Michael Hall, Daniel Barber and Joe Widmyer. Ed served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Ed was a long time member of the Mason Kiwanis Club. Lisa Ellison, Pastor of Discipleship & Congregational Care at Mason UMC will be officiating the service for Ed.
