Born April 19, 1921 in Kingston, PA, Edward Francis Horonzy died peacefully in his sleep at home in Cincinnati, OH on July 19, 2013 surrounded by his wife, Louise, his son Ron, daughter Patricia and Romaine. Edward was raised in Edwardsville, PA. He served as a Radioman in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was stationed on the USS Curtiss during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Louise Bunosky, at St. Hedwig's Church on October 27, 1943. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Louise; his sons Edward Jr., Washington, D.C.; Ronald, Cincinnati, OH; Richard, W. Pittston, PA; Robert, Wyoming, PA and his daughter, Patricia, Miami, FL, as well as sisters, Lottie, Terry, Vikki and Frances. He was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Walter and George. In his final days, Edward was dutifully attended to by his loving son, and best friend, Ron.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd at 1:30 PM at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Dr., Loveland where friends and family will be received from 12:30 PM until the hour of service.
Interment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, OH.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, C/O Bethesda Foundation, Inc., PO Box 633597, Cinti, OH 45263.
