Edith (nee Fletcher) Sandman, age 84, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Edith was born on September 30, 1941, to the late Daniel and Carrie (nee Branham) Fletcher. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Lonnie Sandman and sisters, Sharlene Mills and Ernestine Wallis. She is survived by her loving children, Lynda (Ron) Urkew, Steve (Tammy) Sandman and Lonnie (Tammy) Sandman; grandchildren, Tracy Sandman, Stephanie (Josh) Watren, Ricky Pittillo, Kari (Chris) White and Cheyenne Ukrew; great grandchildren and her pride and joy, Paislee, Braxton and Grayson Watren; and siblings, Delphine Fletcher Providence and Danny Fletcher.

Edith loved helping others and volunteering her time at Hope Emergency Program in Lynchburg. She enjoyed camping and fishing but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 17 from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 State Rt. 28, Goshen, where funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM. Interment Plainview Cemetery.
