Edward "Eddie" Lee Haynes died peacefully on May 2, 2025, at the age of 63 in his home in Martinsville, Ohio surrounded by his beloved family. Eddie was born on January 28, 1962, in Mullens, West Virginia to Frank Haynes and Betty (nee Shell) Morgan.
Eddie was a devoted employee of AMS Construction Inc. for 24 years and was member of Local Laborers Union 265. He loved his co-workers at AMS and considered them his second family. He praised the company for taking such good care of him over the years.
Eddie was an avid hunter and fisherman in his spare time. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Eddie was also a pet lover and always enjoyed playing with dogs and cats.
Eddie had an uncanny way of making people laugh with his wild and crazy stories of his shenanigans.
Eddie is survived by his wife Beverly (nee Hively) Haynes.
Children: Edward "Little Eddie" (Sheena) Haynes, Eric Haynes, and Kenny Cochran.
Grandchildren: Trace Haynes, Gabe Haynes, Blaze Haynes, Bianca Walker, Kimberlyn Haynes, Brianna Haynes, Hailey Hively, Kiley Hively, Jamie Hively, and Aiden Cochran. Eddie also has two great-grandchildren and another on the way.
Siblings: Joseph "Joe" (Drena) Haynes, Lee (Lisa) Haynes, Allen (Lisa) Haynes, Roy "Dale" (Elke) Haynes, Roger (Mary) Haynes, Wayne Skeens, Angela (Rick) Belcher, Susan Haynes, Vince Morgan, Mary Morgan, and Jimmy Morgan. Eddie also has many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews that dearly loved him.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Frank Haynes and Betty (nee Shell) Morgan, two sons Derek Haynes and Dustin Hively and one brother Dean Skeens.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Edward Haynes to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
The funeral will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home 120 W Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of service.
