Earl Judy Chowning of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 88. Earl was born in Sparta, KY on August 28, 1935, to the Late Snodie Sweatman Chowning and Bertha (née Bourne) Chowning.

Cherished husband of Wanda Lee (nee Arliss) Chowning for 69 years. Caring father of Tony (Brenda) Chowning, Allan Chowning, Judy (James) Arrowood, Melissa Eury, and the late George (Amanda) Chowning. Proud grandfather of Nicholas Chowning, Zachary Chowning, Patience Chowning, Truestin Barnes, Georgie Chowning, Gregory Chowning, Earl Johnson, Steven Chowning, Michael Chowning, and Aaron Chowning. Dear brother of late Sharlene Mellencamp and Larry Chowning.

Earl retired from General Motors after 25 years and worked for 10 years as a custodian for the Blanchester School System. Earl was beloved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Friends will be received from 5 PM to 7 PM on Monday, December 18, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where services will begin at 7 PM on Monday. Pastor Phil Hopper officiating.
