Drexel Huger Turner of Fayetteville, OH, passed peacefully at home with his beloved wife Sharon (nee Swanson) Knupp by his side on November 8, 2023. Drexel was born on January 9, 1941, in Midland, TX, to the late Drexyle and Margaret (nee Reamer) Turner. Preceeded in death by his sister Nancy Richardson.
Loving Father of Tammy (Derek) Dusenberry, Stephen (Donna) Turner, and Amiee (Anthony Huck) Turner. Cherished grandfather of Rachel (Bryan) Baker, Caroline (Grant) Manon, Jonathan (Kali) Dusenberry, Christopher Richards, Celeste Richards, and great-grandfather of Myles Baker. He is also survived by the mother of his children Sally (nee Roesch) Bogle.
Drexel also leaves behind loving relationships with Sharon's children, Shelly (Tony Rainsberger) Knupp, Scott (Jenny) Knupp, and Shad (Amy) Knupp, and their children, Abbey Knupp, Jackson Knupp, Samuel Knupp, and Cora Knupp.
Drexel was a lifelong Christian Scientist and an avid ham radio operator. He actively enjoyed the outdoors, even riding his bike ten miles the day before he passed. Drexel often mentioned he was never happier than the time he spent living at Lake Lorelei.
