Dr. Francis Roger Wolfe, eighty-eight years old, died on December 4, 2004 in Loveland, Ohio. Born in Waterloo, Iowa on June 6, 1916. The son of Oscar Onslo Wolfe and Carolyn Amanda, he had two brothers, Harold and Dwight, and a sister Marie, all deceased. Roger married his high school sweetheart, Mary Jane Jennish on June 15, 1941 after graduating from dental school at the University of Iowa. Roger and Mary moved to Red Oak, Iowa in the summer of 1941 to establish residence and dental practice. Roger was a 60 year resident of Red Oak. While living in Red Oak, Roger was active in the Iowa Dental Association, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge, and Toastmasters. After retiring from dentistry Roger was active as a volunteer at Fontanel Forest in Belleview, Nebraska and served on the Montgomery County Conservation Board. After Mary died in 1990, Roger remarried Dorothy Peters of Omaha, Nebraska. Soon after Dorothy died in 2002, Roger moved to Loveland, Ohio to be close to his son and family. Roger is survived by his son, William Gregory Wolfe of Blanchester, Ohio. and grandchildren; Jacqueline McCrystle, Alexander Jennish and Natasha; and six great grandchildren; Woody, Keely, Parker, West, Gabrielle, Gwyneth. Roger served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force and was later assigned to the hospital dental clinic at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska where he retired from reserve duty in 1976 at the rank of Lt.
