Doyle "Sonny" Acuff was born June 9, 1938 to Grover Cleveland "Cleve" Acuff and Dessie (nee Noe) DeHof and passed away November 9, 2016 at the age of 78. He was retired from the railroad and Senco, and enjoyed singing, landscaping, woodworking and most of all being with his family. He is survived by his wife Sue (nee Coleman) Acuff; children, Rick (Andrea) Acuff, Robin (Danny) Messer and Lori (Bill) Woods; step-child, Tammy (Brad) Brister; grandchildren, Eric, Shawn, Adam, Autumn, Lauren, Deanna, Kellie Sue, Nichole, Heather and Jamie; step-grandchildren, Scott, Laura, Jack, Brandon (Courtney) McLaren, Amber (Michael) Ostendorf, Ashley and "Kid" Kid Daphne; great grandchildren, Dawson, Hunter, Harper, Ciarra, Jaxson, Jacob, Alaina, Addison, Annabelle, Alex and Connor; step-great grandchildren, Isaac, Chandler, Xavier, Madeline, Kailey, Michael, Skyler and Taylor; Brothers, Larry (Bobby) Acuff and Donald (Cody) Acuff; Daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Grimsley; sister-in-law, Peggy Acuff, numerous nieces and nephews and wonderful family, neighbors and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-sons, Lance Grimsley and David Grimsley and a brother, Ronald Acuff. Friends will be received on Friday November 11, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the Bible Baptist Church, 55 Megan Dr, Wilmington, OH 45177. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 12, 2016 at 10 AM at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107. Interment Blanchester IOOF Cemetery.
