Obituary

Mr. Riddiough was born in 1930, in Bucksport, Maine and attended the public school in Machias, Maine. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine in 1951. He served two years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, most of his time as an instructor at the Engineering School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He was a registered professional engineer in the states of Ohio and Maine. Mr. Riddiough is survived by his wife of 54 years Elaine (nee Parker); a daughter Debra Baker of Loveland, Ohio; a son-in-law Thomas Baker; a grandson Joshua Williams; several nieces and nephews; and many "good" friends. Passed away suddenly Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the age of 80. Doug was a man of character who was interested in building people (up) as well as building highways. He enjoyed teaching younger persons, drawing from his experience. For 33 years, from 1953 to 1986, Riddiough was employed as an engineer with the Ohio De Despite the demands of his profession, Mr. Riddiough took a keen interest in other activities; A 53-year member of the Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, he served as Church School Superintendent, teacher, Trustee, and was an ordained Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Riddiough may be directed to Eastminster Presbyterian Church Benevolence Fund, 4600 Erie Avenue, Madisonville, OH 45227; Shriners Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45229; 32nd Degree Masonic Lear
