Douglas "Doug" Arthur Cales of Pleasant Plain, OH. Passed away on December 23, 2022, at the age of 64. Born on November 20, 1958, in Cincinnati, OH.

Beloved husband of Pamela "Pam" Jean (nee Panetta) Cales. Loving father of Katie (Thomas) Messer and Matthew (Jennifer) Cales. Proud PaPaw Doug of Evelyn and Easton Cales. Dear brother of Sharon Stegemoller. Caring son-in-law of Alene Panetta and the late Fred Panetta. Cherished son of the late Obie and Ruby (nee Reeve) Cales. Preceded in death by his beloved dog, "Axle."

Doug was owner/operator of Cales Trucking. He was known by many as "Farmer." Doug was a Harlan Township Firefighter for 22 years. His passion was growing sweet corn and operating his food truck.

Friends will be received from 5 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, December 29 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will be on Friday, December 30 at 11 AM. Pastor Phil Hopper and Jason Hurst officiating
