Douglas Paul Allen "Doug" was born April 7, 1958 to Samuel Lloyd Allen and Elizabeth (nee Gatts) Caplinger and passed away May 22, 2020 at the age of 62. Doug was a 1976 graduate of Blanchester Local Schools, a graduate of Hocking College and was a veteran of the US Coast Guard. He worked as an Ohio State Park Ranger, Wildlife Officer for over 20 years, the owner operator of Continuous Gutter Systems and was a Department of Transportation Hazmat Class B. Driver for Lykins Energy Solution, then Jacobus Energy. He is survived by his children, Brendan James Allen, Paul Douglas (Veronica Lynn) Allen, Jaqueleen Rose (Gregory Brock) Briley, Sean Quincy Allen and Mary Kathleen Allen; a grandson, Ryker Elijah Allen; sisters, Deborah Lynn (Pastor Rick) McKinnis and Sharon Ann (Dennis) Kurir. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Marion Ray Allen. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday May 30, 2020 at the Confidence Cemetery, 1196 Mt. Orab Pike Georgetown, OH 45121. Family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Wildlife Central Office (Wildlife Fund) 2045 Morse Rd. Bldg. G-1 Columbus, OH 43229-6693 in his memory.
