Dorothy Marie (Ritt) Stroud went to be with her savior, Friday, May 19, 2023, surrounded by love & in the presence of the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Karl Stroud. Dorothy and Karl spent the last 59 years together as a team building their family farm, being witnesses for the Lord, and raising their four children.

She is preceded in death by her mother & father, George and Dorothy Ritt of Greenbush, Ohio, Brothers Raymond (Geneva) Ritt and Gene (Phyllis) Ritt.

Dorothy is survived by her four children, Sandy Stroud Hartman, Kevin Stroud, Lori (Jason) Steinbeck and Karla (Robert) Dean. Twelve grandchildren: Kelli Hartman, Kyle Hartman, Andrew (Anna) Stroud, Matthew (Stella) Stroud, Christopher (Kelsey) Stroud, Clinton Stroud, Timothy (Brittney) Smithson, Ashley Smithson, Bethany (Michael) Hoffman, Kaitlyn (Logan) Johnson, Haley Dean and Parker Dean. Sixteen great grandchildren: Emily, Elaina & Audrey Stroud, Carter & Kinsley Stroud, Kegan, Bailey, Bradlee & Bodee Smithson, Raynee, Xander, Phoenix, Nolan & Lena Hoffman, Lucas Smithson & Leo Johnson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, caretakers and family friends.

Dorothy's Viewing & Funeral will both be held at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio 45107 on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. With the viewing hours of 11:00AM - 1:00PM and funeral at 1:00 PM with burial & graveside service to follow at Jefferson Township Cemetery 500 Jonesboro Road in Westboro, Ohio following.
