Obituary

Dorothy Kay Seitz (nee Chisman), 68, of Milford, Ohio, passed away on June 19, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 7, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and grew up in Loveland, Ohio.

She was the beloved wife to Thomas (Tom) Seitz and amazing mother to Emily (Ross Pawlak), Aaron and Ashley (Eric Kramer), as well as the world's best Nana to Zachary Byron, Addison and Mackenzie Pawlak. She was the second eldest of eight children to Frank & Emmie Chisman (deceased) and sister to Linda Reese, Charlotte (Greg Popp), Frankie (Patty), Sharon, Lori (Rafe Barber), Amanda (Paul Healey) and Anthony. She was also the proud aunt and great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews; she also leaves behind many other relatives and close friends. She would have celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary on August 3, 2023.

Kay was known for her beautiful smile and contagious laugh (not to mention her classy elegance always), sense of humor, her zest to tackle the impossible, her culinary and puzzle skills, resourcefulness, her beautiful singing voice, all around creativity and the ability to pull off amazing family gatherings on a dime among many other things. She also never met a stranger! She had an incredible memory for names, faces, and dates; when she was talking to you, her full attention was on you and she was genuinely curious about-- and would remember--the details of your life.

Kay relied on her faith in God constantly and admirably, even during her five-year battle with cancer.

Kay was a graduate of Loveland High School (1972) and held many jobs over the years including secretary and administrative assistant roles to leaders and executives at Proctor & Gamble and U.S. Shoe Corporation. She was also a well-respected and revered flight attendant for many years at Comair, Inc. before retiring. Once she retired, she loved tending to her picturesque cottage and garden on ten acres in the country. Her never-ending energy and effort to always ensure her homes had showstopping street presence was also one of her passions and gifts.

The celebration of life service will be held at 5:00pm on Wednesday, June 28th, at Tufts Schildmeyer-Loveland (129 N. Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH).

A reception will be held for family and friends directly following the service at The Landing Event Center (119 Karl Brown Way, Loveland, OH).
