Doris "Jean" Hammons was born October 25, 1932 to Boyd and Thelma (nee Lakes) Sparks and passed away at her home on Monday March 21, 2016 at the age of 83. She was self employed in the Blanchester area owning the Dairy Point and City Ice Carryout. She is survived by her son Blain Hammons; grandchildren, Amanda (Steven) Morris; great grandchildren, Steven Morris III. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth "Ken" Hammons, a brother, Wayne Sparks, and a sister, Loretta Welch. Friends will be received from 10-12 PM on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W.
