Donald T. MacRae of Cincinnati, formerly of Indianapolis and Elkhart, IN passed away peacefully on August 19, 2010. He is survived by his three loving daughters, Sarah L. Muller (Leonard) of Loveland, OH, Ann M. Cappel of Chicago, IL, and Jane Hague Springman (Edward) of Bellevue, WA, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and sister Margot Hannon. He was preceded in death by wife Martha W. MacRae, and sisters Rosalind Sykes, and Ruth Ross. Donald leaves many friends who have been inspired by his ongoing interest to learn and grow, his genuine curiosity, and pioneering spirit. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. A Honors graduate of Michigan Technological University in 1948 and founder of Keene/MacRae Associates in Elkhart, he retired in 1985 as Indiana State Building Commissioner.
