Donald J Leyritz, age 88 of Cincinnati, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Don was born on April 19, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Grace. He grew up in Cleveland with his sister Carol (Pennza) and attended Rhodes High School where he met his future bride Betty (Hasson). Don and Betty enjoyed 65 wonderful years of marriage. Don attended Kent State University and was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. Don and Betty married in July of 1956 and in September was drafted into the Army where he served in Frankfurt Germany for two years as Secretary to the General. Don had a long career with IBM where he where he held a variety of positions from Sales to District Manager. Don loved all things sports and never missed any of his children's' and grandchildren's' games. He also enjoyed attending all his granddaughters' ballet recitals. He always supported his family no matter what was asked of him and instilled good morals and faith. In addition to Don being missed by his wife, Betty, he will also be missed by his children; Michael (Nancy), Lori and James (Michelle); his sister, Carol (Pennza); his grandchildren; Stephanie, Zach, Alyssa (Robert), Austin, Matt, Dakota, Phoenix, Ava, and Bella; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A service Celebrating Don's Life will be held at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home 129 N. Riverside Dr Loveland Wednesday July 6, 2022 at 4:00pm, where family will receive friends befor service 3:00pm until the hour of service. Family request that memorial contributions in memory of Don be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati or ALS Central & Southern Ohio Chapter.
