Donald L. Lawson of Mt. Carmel, OH. Born on April 27, 1929 in Whitesville, WV. Went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Nancy (nee Soars) Lawson and Eva (nee Oakley) Lawson. Loving father of Phillip (Vanessa) Lawson, Doug (Debbie) Lawson, Beverly (Gary) Turner, Kevin Lawson and the late Barry Lawson. Father-in-law of Kay Rowser. Proud grandfather of Denali Lawson, Kakina Lawson, Alicia Schriner, Ashley Fitzer, Ashley Uecker, Gary Turner Jr., Josh Lawson and Amanda Lawson. Caring great-grandfather of Miley Fitzer and Konner Lawson. Cherished son of the late Oscar and Roxie (nee Hall) Lawson. Preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Don proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Friends will be received on Thursday, 5 - 8 PM, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will be on Friday, October 24, 10 AM. Interment with military honors, Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Pastor Roland Luthy of Ambassador Free Will Baptist Church will be the minister for Don's services.
