Diane Kay Alsdorf, 66, of Liberty Township passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026. She was born January 3, 1960 to Mona and Ralph Alsdorf. Cherished sister of Dorene Alsdorf, Earl (Tascha) Alsdorf, and the late Darlene Alsdorf and Edward (deceased) (Sharon) Alsdorf. Proud aunt of Zachary (Laura) Alsdorf, Cody (Kate) Alsdorf, Hannah Alsdorf, Liza Alsdorf, Emma Alsdorf, and Olivia Alsdorf. Dear great aunt to several great nieces and nephews.

Diane was a loyal sister, friend, and aunt. She loved fiercely and without boundaries. She loved having all of her family around for the holidays. She would cook, and bake for days in preparation of us all being together. She was the chief baker for our family. She made the best cookies, with chocolate chip cookies being her specialty. They were truly amazing!

She was THE devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews. They were the light of her life. She was always ready to help them with anything they needed. A quick ride to the grocery store, a ride home from school, or a ride to share a meal.

Diane was the best gift giver. She loved shopping for birthdays and Christmas, or just because. She took pride in wrapping those gifts for you, down to a bottle of nail polish. Her finished packages looked like something out of a magazine.

She graduated from Cincinnati State with a degree in business management and was a talented organizer. She was a store manager at Valley Thrift for many years and was a star employee who was eventually tasked with leading multiple stores. When faced with an Alpha One diagnosis she used these skills to put on multiple fundraisers to help assist in receiving a lung transplant. Despite the health challenges she encountered in her life, she always found a way to do what she loved.

Diane faced many health challenges over the last 10 years, but rarely complained. She always had a smile on her face and faced those challenges with dignity and grace. She was more worried about something you might be going through and how she could lend a helping hand to you. She was selfless and compassionate.

Diane will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A graveside service honoring Diane’s life will be held at 11am on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Union Cemetery, 9235 Union Cemetery Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45249.
