Dennis Lee Fries Sr. of Pleasant Plain, OH. Passed away on January 16, 2023 at the age of 80. Born on September 17, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH.
Beloved husband of 61 years to Donna Darleen (nee Blades) Fries. Loving father of Kimberley (Rob) Fries-Kerr. Proud grandfather of Keeley Fries and step-grandfather of Amanda (Josh) Hunt and Nicholas Kerr. Dear brother of the late Joseph Fries Jr. Cherished son of the late Joseph Edward Sr. and Ruth Marian (nee Lee) Fries. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
Dennis proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and United States Army Reserves. Dennis was a retired Assistant Fire Chief. He was Vice-President of Roy Tailor Uniform Company. He was a member JB Covert Masonic Lodge No. 437 and the Anderson American Legion Post #318.
Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Thursday, January 19 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where a Masonic Lodge Service will begin at 12 Noon followed by the funeral services.
Private interment, Edwardsville Cemetery, Harlan TWP, OH.
A celebration of life gathering will be held after the services at the Harlan Township Fire & Rescue Department, 9120 Morrow Rossburg Rd., Pleasant Plain, OH 45162.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Dennis Fries to the charity of your choice.
Pallbearers for Dennis are: John Estell, Sean Estell, Rob Kerr, John Corcoran, Mitchell Blades and Bill Blades.
