Delcia R. (nee Varvel) Steele, of Midland, OH, passed away Wednesday June 26, 2013 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH. Delcia was born May 18, 1947, a daughter of the late Perry and Edra (nee Lotterback) Varvel. Delcia loved working crossword puzzles, cooking her famous dirt cake, watching her grandchildren and watching NCIS and CSI. Surviving are her children Harry Steele, Shawnda Lacy and Shawn Steele; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Dail Varvel, Arthur Moore ;sisters, Doris Norvell and Diane McCutchen. In addition to her parents, Delcia was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Steele and numerous other brothers and sisters. Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends will be received from 10 AM until time of service.
