Deborah Jane Kline, age 71, passed away in the early morning hours of December 25th, 2021 after bravely fighting cancer for over a year. Deborah was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 15th, 1950 to Dayton and Mary Willoughby. She married the love of her life, Fred Kline, on July 3rd, 1976.
Deborah was mother to Karyn (Marty) Graves, Daniel (Caroline) Kline, and David (Laura) Kline. To say she was a loving mom would be an understatement. She raised her children with a sense of care, understanding, and selflessness that was unmatched.
After attending Bowling Green State University, Deborah had a long and wonderful career as an elementary school teacher. She had a tremendous impact on countless children as they came and went from her classroom, many of whom stayed in contact with her even as they became adults.
There are a myriad of things that will be remembered and missed about Deborah. She adored all things having to do with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She would happily accept all pictures, videos, and stories about each of them and she especially treasured the time she got to spend with them. Deborah loved to laugh, especially with her close group of friends she made teaching that continued to have gatherings long after retirement. She had a fondness of all things cats and spent many precious years with her "kitties," Shadow and Frenzy.
In addition to her husband Fred, children Karyn, Daniel, and David, she is also survived by her sister, Sara Cochran. Also, her grandchildren Nathan (Amanda) Graves, Kayla Rettig, and Sydney, Drew, and Brodie Kline. Furthermore, her great-grandchildren Mahaley, Jaycey, and Oakleigh Graves along with Bently, Nora, Dresden, and Daxon Rettig.
Family and friends will be received from 2-3 PM on Saturday, June 25th at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH 45140. Please bring your favorite memory of Deborah written down to give to the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Deborah may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati.
