Deborah "Debbie" Lynn (nee Hughes) Sturgill, born April 11, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024.

Deborah was the cherished daughter of the late Burgoine Hughes and Carolyn (nee Newman) Ferris, and stepdaughter of Robert Ferris. Deborah attended Sycamore High School. On February 13, 1972, she married the love of her life, Billy G. Sturgill, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion.

She is survived by her two sons, Billy J. (Holly)Sturgill of Burlington, KY, and Shawn Sturgill of Goshen, OH. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Brittaney (Nathaniel) Reeves, Liberty Grace Sturgill, and great-grandchildren Parker Reeves, Jayden Reeves, and Tyler Reeves, all of Burlington, KY, whom she adored and doted on endlessly. Deborah was a proud and loving grandmother who took great joy in celebrating her grandchildren's milestones.

She was known for her kind heart, compassion, and generosity. A lifelong lover of books, animals, and sports. She found simple joys in everyday life, yet her greatest love was for her family. She was an encourager to all who knew her, always ready to offer a warm smile or a comforting word. A devoted Cincinnati Bengals fan, she rarely missed a game and reveled in cheering on her favorite team.

Deborah Lynn will be remembered as a loving wife, a kindhearted friend, a compassionate mother, and a doting grandmother who left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. In her memory, may we continue to live with the same kindness and love that Deborah exemplified throughout her life.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 11am to 12 noon at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, OH, where services will begin at 12 noon on Thursday
