Dave Schildmeyer was born on October 5th, 1955, in St. Bernard, Ohio to Alvin C. & Miriam (Mitchell) Schildmeyer. Dave was Beloved husband of Cheryl Lynn Schildmeyer (nee Lyons) for 48 years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Alex Schildmeyer, Tom & Lindsey Schildmeyer, Matt & Jen Schildmeyer. Loving grandfather of Lily, Charlie, Leo, Luci, Allen, Penelope, Iris, Camila, & Calvin. Preceded in death by his brothers Steve Schildmeyer, Mike Schildmeyer, Joe Schildmeyer, and Marc Schildmeyer

Dave will be remembered for many things. Along with being a beloved husband and devoted father, he was a loving son and brother, and a great friend. He got his kindness and generosity from his family upbringing in St. Bernard as the youngest of five brothers. At Roger Bacon High School he discovered many activities that he both loved and excelled - football, theater, and academics. All activities that he would carry with him the rest of his life – he always loved sports, always loved to sing and never stopped learning. Not a man to waste time, he earned his undergraduate degree in three years from Xavier while working part time. And, while his hard work ethic and determination led him to a successful career in software sales, he also enjoyed many hobbies – creating many memorable vacations for his family, traveling with his wife Cheryl, cooking, and babysitting his grandchildren, to name a few.

His smile, gentle laugh, singing and firm handshake will be missed by the many people who knew Dave throughout his life.

He loved his wife dearly, he was incredibly proud of his three sons, and enjoyed every minute he had with his nine grandchildren.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrating Dave's life at St Columban Catholic Church 894 Oakland Road Loveland Ohio Thursday December 11, 2025 at 10:30am. Friends will be received in the St Columban Day Chapel 9:15am - 10:15am prior to mass. Friends and family are also invited to attend a reception immediately following the Mass in the St Columban Undercroft.

Columbarium Inurment will take place privately in St Mary's Cemetery St Bernard, Ohio.
