David A. Query, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 14, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Janet Query (nee Feldhaus). Devoted father of Vicki Slowik (Gary) and David L. Query. Dear brother of Barb Southerland. Loving grandfather of Nic Slowik, Emilee Cunningham and Maris, Molly and David B. Query. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents David and Dorothy (nee Mathews) and sister Sue Tepe. Dave obtained his degree in education from The Ohio State University and a Master's degree in Education Administration from Xavier University. He touched thousands of lives as a dedicated and compassionate educator. Dave spent over 45 years in education as a teacher, coach, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent of Norwood City Schools and Kings Local School districts, as well as on the school board. He was an avid OSU fan and enjoyed golf, cars, his home, pool and spending time with family and friends. Words cannot explain how much we will miss his love, generosity and humor. Friends will be received Tuesday, April 24 from 10 AM - 12 PM at Good Shepherd Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd., where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 PM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
