David Robert Mueller passed away peacefully on September 18th, 2023, at 81 years old. Dave was born on June 8th of 1942 in Syracuse, NY and was a graduate of North Syracuse High School. He resided in Syracuse in his early life and then lived in Guilderland, NY for 12 years. He has resided in Cincinnati for the past 36 years.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents Frederick (Fritz) and Lillian (Shaw) Mueller, Sr. and his 4 siblings: Marty, Mary Ann, Lillian, and Fred.
Dave is survived by his loving wife Linda (O'Neil) Mueller of 60 years. Dave also leaves behind 4 children: Bryan (Frankie), Scott (Tracie), Michelle (Billy) and David (Jill). He thoroughly enjoyed his children and their families which included 12 grandchildren: Brett (Becca), Morgan, Taylor, Kristina, Alana, Scott II, Izzy, Zach, Logan, D.J., Maddie, Jordan and four great-grand kids, Brayden, Owen, Liam, and Mack and all their various activities. Dave was also very close and proud of his nieces and nephews.
Dave was a man of great faith in the Catholic Church where he served as a lector at St. Philip the Apostle in Morrow for many years and was a Pillar in the Church Community. Dave attended Syracuse University, started his career with Dave's Tune Up in Syracuse then went on to Sun Electric, Saturn, AC Delco, and General Motors. He also served as a County Legislator, Radio Personality (Mr. Fix It), College Professor, Grand Knight and was a lifetime member for the Elks. He coached many sports teams highlighted by the Helderberg Indians that played over 30 games at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, New York which impacted many people over the years. The last several years he kept score for thousands of games in support of his grandchildren. Dave was the consummate storyteller vividly sharing his tremendous life experiences and great pride that he had for his family.
Friends are invited to attend Dave's Life Celebration services: A Visitation will be held at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home 129 N Riverside Dr Loveland, Ohio 45140 Monday September 25, 2023, 5:00pm to 8:00pm. (Knights of Columbus) service will take place at 7:30pm Monday.
A Mass Celebrating Dave's Life will be held at St Philip the Apostle 944 US 22&3 Morrow, Ohio 45152 Tuesday September 26, 2023, at 11:00am. Immediately following the Mass friends are invited to a reception in the undercroft of St Philip the Apostle Church.
Family Request that memorial Contributions in memory of Dave be directed to: American Cancer Society 4540 Cooper Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45242 or Saint Zachary's Haven 3364 E US 22&3 Morrow, Ohio 45152.
