David Morgensen, Sr. 74, of Midland, Ohio. A devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2024, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
David is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Thursa Morgensen Sr, His late wife Jeannie Morgensen, Brother Robert Morgensen Jr, David Morgensen Jr and grandson James "Bubby" Pullin IV. David is survived by his loving wife Toni (Patterson) Morgensen, his children Amanda (Scott) Huddleston, Amanda (Tairus) Cohill, Nathanael Morgensen, Vannessa (Andrew) Jackson. His Grandchildren, Faith Morgensen, Samantha (Michael) Hollon, Matthew Marshall, Darin Cohill, Anjalina Jackson, Matthew Huddleston, Jalyn Cohill, Makaylee Pullin, Anna Mae Huddleston, Carter Jackson, Carolina Huddleston, Alexis Jackson, Xavier Cohill, Timothy Huddleston, Malakai Pullin, 4 great- grandchildren, four sisters Carolyn (Gerald) Crabtree, Diann (Ernie) Enz, Connie (David) Nevil, and Linda Setty. Also, countless friends & family who will remember him for his kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter.
David was the proud owner of Morgensen & Son's Home Improvement for over 30 years, where his craftsmanship and dedication left a lasting impact on the community. David had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He loved riding his motorcycle, embracing the freedom of the open road. His adventurous spirit often led him to auctions and yard sales, where he delighted in the thrill of finding hidden treasures. He cherished the time spent fishing in Florida, creating unforgettable memories with Family.
In retirement, David traveled extensively with his beloved wife, Toni, exploring new places and enjoying life to the fullest. He also found joy in gardening, tending to his beautiful roses and tomatoes with love and care. Known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, David had a unique ability to bring joy to those around him, even in his final days. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family, selflessly putting their well-being before his own.
In honor of David's love for gardening, the family kindly requests that instead of flowers, potted plants be given. These plants can be replanted and continue to thrive, reflecting David's enduring spirit.
Friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Cozaddale Baptist Temple, 10632 Eltzroth Rd, Goshen, OH 45122.
The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Cozaddale Baptist Temple with Pastor Travis Burke officiating.
Interment will take place at Westboro Cemetery.
Following the graveside service, Family and Friends are welcome for a time of fellowship at Cozaddale Baptist Temple, 10632 Eltzroth Rd, Goshen, OH 45122.
