Dave was a long-time resident of Maineville, Ohio. He went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2015. He died peacefully at age 66, surrounded by his family. Dave was born in Franklin County, Ohio in 1949. Raised Roman Catholic in Dayton, Ohio by his loving parents, Oscar and June Kroger, who precede him in death, he attended Brunnerdale Seminary, exploring a call to the Priesthood. He left seminary, and got his Bachelor and Masters degree from the University of Dayton. He married his beloved wife Judy in 1985. He was a tongue-in-cheek computer expert, consultant, and college professor. A Jack-of-all trades and master of many, he was a lover of beauty everywhere he found it, in performing and experiencing music, art, poetry, the out-of-doors, and in the broad diversity of community he engaged in. His overflowing love, his indomitable spirit, and his brilliant mind are and will continue to be an inspiration to all of us. He is survived by his beloved wife Judy (nee Reinstatler), his children Benjamin (Sarah), Matthew (Mariah), Johanna, and eight precious grandchildren. We all miss him terribly, but are comforted that he is joyfully dancing with the Lord now.
