David James "Jim" McDonough of Mason OH (previously Florida and Opelika AL). Beloved husband of 58 years to Betty Ann (nee Hummel) McDonough. Loving father of Steve (Terri) McDonough, Kathryn McDonough (Phil) Theodore, and Marc (Elizabeth) McDonough. Proud grandfather of Nick McDonough and Erin McDonough. Son of the late Raymond and Dorothy McDonough. Brother of the late Jerome McDonough. Brother-in-law of Mary Lou McDonough and the late Eileen McDonough. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Passed away January 16, 2019, at the age of 83. Jim was a graduate of Ohio University, where he played baseball and was a member of Sigma Nu. He proudly served his country as a Marine, and played baseball with the St Louis Cardinals organization. He was a teacher and coach, followed by a successful career employing his integrity and charisma in sales and as an entrepreneur. He continued coaching for community and school teams, and was active in the Catholic Church. In retirement, he enjoyed many volunteer opportunities, golf and time with family. Jim was a devoted father and husband, and throughout his life graced all with his consideration for others and incredible sense of humor. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 1 at 11am at All Saints Catholic Church, 8939 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45236.
