David Glass, Sr., 81, of Loveland, OH, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma, AZ, of natural causes.
He was born May 14, 1932 in Cincinnati, OH to Clyde and Sophie (Hellard) Glass. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He worked for Cincinnati Gas & Electric before forming his own company, Glass Electric. In the late 1960's, he went to work for Hepfinger Bros. in Cincinnati. In 1971, he helped form American Store Fixtures, Inc., which he co-owned and worked for until his retirement in 1995. After his retirement, he shared his residence between Yuma, AZ, and the family home in Loveland, OH.
Survivors include his children Chrystal (Bill) Seley of Middletown, David "Crockett" of Loveland, Dale "Buzzy" (Sherri) of Maineville, Donald (Jody) of Lebanon, Duane (Missi) of Lebanon, Michelle (Kip) Gatlin of Auburndale, FL, Douglas (Amy) of Manchester, Elaine Tyler Brown (fiance' Brian) of West Chester, Khrista Tyler (fiance' Randy) of Reading and Kara "Beeps" Tyler of Crescent Springs, KY; 28 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his siblings Clyde and Jack (Jeanie) of Cozaddale, Juanita Stevens of Middletown and Shirley (Tom) McReynolds of Loveland. Also surviving is close friend / caretaker Juan Leon and family of Yuma, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife Mickey Glass; brothers Bill, Buddy, Jimmy, Gary and Mickey; sister Peggy and grandchild Brett Michael Gatlin.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murdoch Cemetery in Loveland.
Memorial remembrances may be made to the American Heart or Lung Association.
