David H. Blankenship, born on January 13, 1938, in Stopover, Kentucky, passed away on September 11, 2025, surrounded by his family.

David is survived by his devoted wife, Marlene (Gallimore) Blankenship, and their loving children, David E. (Rhonda) Blankenship, Rocky A. (Susan) Blankenship, and Shirley A. (Patrick Snider) Jones. He will be deeply missed by his cherished grandchildren, Christina Arbino, Gregory Blankenship, Erin Frost, Karen Fredenburg, Carrie Ann Turner, and Benjamin Matheney. His legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren, Lane Frost, Cohen Frost, Cody Frost, Liam Frost, Silas Fredenburg, Tate Fredenburg Gus Fredenburg, Ivory Arbino, Trinity Arbino, Kaden Arbino, Shyla Arbino, Rylee Turner, Katrina Turner, Aiden Matheney, Bella Rhonemus, Max Matheney, Silas Fredenburg, Tate Fredenburg, and Gus Fredenburg . In addition to his immediate family, David is survived by his brothers, Joe Blankenship and Lloyd Blankenship, as well as his sister Rosalee.

He was preceded in death by his son, Billy B. Blankenship; parents, Russell and Beatrice (Dillon) Blankenship.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Blanchester Cemetery.
