Darrell Wayne Hess was born July 4, 1950 to Levi Millard and Mary Louise (nee Tilton) Hess and passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the age of 69. Darrell lived humbly and honestly, devoting a life of service as a contributing member of Gospel Assembly Church. He was an accomplished musician, playing trumpet in the church band. For over 25 years, he served as band director and many years as youth leader. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a loyal friend. Darrell was a 1968 graduate of Woodward High School. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 47 years, Bonita Jo (nee Heyl) Hess; Children, Kristen Lee (Donald) Hess-Winters, Melanie Louise (Steven) Sharp and Darrell Scott(Deanna) Hess; Grandchildren, Kara Marie (Dakota) Vance, Maegan Nicole Winters, Zachary Wayne Winters, Alana Caroline Sharp, Jordan Levi Hess, Lauren Grace Sharp, Trevor Wayne Hess, Ella Katherine Hess, Aleeyah Rose Winters and Carter James Vance; Siblings Sharon Turner, Shirley Blevins and Steve Hess; In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Arnold Hess and Mark Hess. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 2pm at Gospel Assembly Church located at 12055 Pippin Road, Cincinnati Ohio 45231.
