Darlene Sue Otey, 66, Loveland, OH, passed away December 27, 2014. She was born on September 24, 1948 in Brazil, IN to the late Melvin and Doris Shinn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Otey, III. She was a cook and cafeteria worker for Loveland Elementary School where she befriended many young and smiling faces before retiring in 2010. Loving mother of Angela Darlene Russell, Jennifer Christine Otey, and Arminda Rae Otey. Proud grandmother of Ryan Joseph Patt, Shelby Leigh Heishman, Melissa Rose Christine Heishman, Richard Homer Bradley IV, Sandra Nicole Bradley, and Korynne Marie Hartman. Great grandmother of Sophia Rhystin Greene, Bradley Alan Richardson Jr, and Nathaniel Jax Richardson. Dear sister to Melva Jo Copley, Michael Lawrence Shinn, David Alan Shinn, and the late Linda Rae Myers. Aunt and great aunt to 19 nieces and nephews. Loving provider to her two beautiful dogs, Nyhla and the late Thai. Family and friends will be received from 12 to 1 p.m. on Friday, January 2 at Costin Funeral Chapel, 539 E. Washington St, Martinsville, IN 46151, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Interment at Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon, IN.
