Darlene (nee) Drexelius Herbert of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away December 9, 2025, at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, at the age of 82. Her husband, Donald M. Herbert, preceded her in death.

Darlene was born August 11, 1943 in Bond Hill, Ohio. Daughter of the late Kalya and Martin Drexelius. Darlene graduated from Woodward High School in 1962. She was active in her Ladies Auxiliary in Blanchester, the Senior Center and where she attended

church at Blanchester Church of Christ. She volunteered at Bethesda North Hospital. She volunteered at the Blanchester Municipal Building where she was Mrs. Claus at Breakfast with Santa, where she would read to the children.

She is survived by her two sons, Bryon M. Herbert of Loveland, Ohio and Kenneth A. Herbert of Blanchester, Ohio and one Grandson, Jack T. Herbert of Hamilton, Ohio. She has one sister, Sanya VanZandt living in Delhi, Ohio. Preceded in death is her brother Vaughn Drexeliius of Bond Hill, Ohio; sister Kayla Joy Meyer of Florida; and brother Gaylord C. Drexelius of South

Carolina. Also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
