Daniel E. "Danny" Shook, age 73, of Loveland, passed away May 14, 2026. Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Sheila Stewart Shook; his sons, David S. Shook and Jonathan F. (Maya Pinjala) Shook; brothers, Ray (Bonnie) Shook and Tim (Martha) Shook, as well as his beloved pets, Kip, Penni, Nelli, Lotti, Rocco, Zig, Tilly, and Angel.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mercedes Shook, his son, Robert Quinlan Shook, and his sister, Kay Shook.

Danny was raised in Louisville, KY. He attended the University of Louisville, originally as a Math Major but then switched to Engineering. He also became a diehard Cardinal fan for life. In 1980, he and his wife moved to Cincinnati, OH and raised their 2 sons there. Most memorable about Danny was his love of tending to the “farm” and his animals. He will have a large animal contingent to meet him on the other side.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 28 from 10-11 AM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM. Reception following the Service at Bishops Quarters in Loveland.

Memorial donations in Danny's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
