Dale A. Johnson Jr., age 80, of Cincinnati passed away on October 14, 2009 at Birchwood Care Center. Dale was born 12/13/28 in South Charleston, W. Va. to Dale A. Johnson, Sr. and Gladys (nee Beaver) Johnson. He graduated Stonewall Jackson High in 1946 and W. Va. University in 1950. He worked for General Electric in Cincinnati where he met his late wife Jeanne Carol (nee Brown) Johnson who passed away May 1996. He married Carol 4/19/52. They have 4 surviving children: Dale III, Cheryl (Chuck) Ritter, Wendy Kennedy, and Amy Levy as well as seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Dale worked for Fusite Division of Emerson Electronics for over 20 years as Treasurer, Vice President, and President. Dale enjoyed playing golf and bridge as well as following the stock market and managing his investments. He retired to Panama City, FL in 1983 where he and Carol had many happy years. Dale was on the Board of the Bay Point Homeowners Association for 4 1/2 years, was a member of Crew of Dominique Youx serving on the Board of Directors and was the 4th President of the Board as King Dominique Youx VI in 1992 and he was a member of the St. Thomas of the Sea. After Carol's death, Dale was companions with Mae Dell Ward Jones. They traveled and enjoyed many years of companionship. Dale returned to Cincinnati in 2008 to be closer to his children. A private family service was held at Tuft Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home in Loveland, Ohio on Saturday, October 17, 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of one's choice.
