Cynthia "Cindy" Smith passed away on July 8th, 2026. She was 82 years old. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio to Harold and Frances (nee Dailey) Smith who preceded her in death.

As a registered nurse, she worked over 30 years. She took great pride in her profession and in the very personal care she gave to her patients. She loved golf and achieved a hole-in-one on the 12th hole at the Elks course in Wilmington. 

In retirement, she loved working in the yard and for many years she enjoyed spending the summers in Vermont with Suzanne Hamilton and all their animal family. 

Cindy was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Wilmington. At her request, a gathering of friends honoring her life will be held at a later date.
