Curtis Monroe Owens Jr, 71, was born May 3, 1946 in Russell County, Kentucky and a resident of Ohio since his teens. He is survived by his wife, Beverly (nee Henson) and daughters Brenda (Michael) Collins and Jennifer "Sis" Owens, grandchildren Darren "Bub"(Brittany) Owens, Dylan "Buster", Olivia "Chica" and Dalton "Buddy Boy" Collins and great-grandchild, Curtis "Bruiser" Lee Owens. He is also survived by his brother, Donnie and sisters, Bonnie and Connie, a vast extended family and many cherished friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Sr. and Elizabeth, sister, Rosemary and great-grandchild, Cayden William Owens. Junior was a veteran of the US Army, a Mason, a bluegrass music fanatic and a true survivor; battling cancer for over 20 years until his death on January 26, 2018. A memorial service along with Montgomery Masonic Lodge #94 F & AM services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 1 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, OH, where friends will be received from 12 Noon until the time of service.
