It is with great sadness that the family of Craig A. Wilson announces his passing on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019. After his brave fight with Lymphoma, Craig passed peacefully into eternal healing surrounded by his loved ones. Craig was the beloved husband of 35 years to Lori (nee Peters) Wilson and loving father of Brittany Bonweg, Allyse (Dustin) Woods, Morgan Wilson and Jenny (Ben) Hokuf. Along with loving his wife and children dearly, Craigs greatest joy was being the proud "Papaw" of his many grandchildren Jaxon, Madi, Zane, Zoe, Michael, Eli, Ethan, Logan, Hunter and Addison. Dearest son of Earl and Shirley (nee Clevenger) Wilson and cherished brother to Mike (Marcia) Wilson, Terry Wilson, Kim (Greg) Robinson, Kevin Wilson, Kelly (Phil) Sexton and Kyle Wilson, Craig valued family above all. Loving son-in-law to June Elmore, Brother-in-law of Scott (Cathy) Peters, Jodi (Andy) Louder and Traci (Craig) Abercrombie and Kelsey (Jabob) Duke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Craigs joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He spent hours taking them on mule and gator rides in the wood and fields around his house. Craig loved to tell stories to his daughters from the time they were little. Many of those stories are fondly told to his grandchildren. Many of these stories were reminiscing of his childhood but he was no stranger to telling tales to his daughters to see what they would believe! Craig was funny, generous, and most of all, a loyal friend. He was a stranger to no one and welcomed everyone with the open arms of a loving Christian man. There wasnt anyone that he couldnt talk to, sometimes to the embarrassment of his daughters through their teenage years! His closest friends ranged from a WWII vet to people the same age as his daughters. His generosity knew no bounds and everyone could always rely on him for support, even if you had only just met him.
Craig was also a founding partner of Spectra-tech Manufacturing. In 20 years, the small business grew from a small garage operation with one employee, to a thriving enterprise that employed over 100 people. He was incredibly intelligent. In spite of only a vocational school education, nothing could hold him back from following his dreams. Craig was over the plant production, could repair and rebuild the robotic machines used to build the circuit board the company produced. Though he worked hard to see his business succeed, his true passions were the many hobbies and projects he enjoyed at home. He was always working on something new and kept his family anxiously awaiting the next project he would put his heart and soul into.
Friends will be received Monday, October 14 from 10 AM - 12 PM at Northstar: a Community of Grace Church, 11020 S. Lebanon Rd., Loveland, where funeral services will follow at 12 PM. Interment Graceland Memorial Gardens.
