Cloie Madeline McCollum, 98, of Blanchester, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2017. She was the loving mother of Sandy McCollum; dear aunt of Lora DeWeese, Topeka, KS and Elaine Hixson, Cocoa, FL; sister-in-law of John and Nancy McCollum; also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Cloie was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Gordon E. McCollum; parents, Everett and Grace Ertel; sisters, Helen (Ernest) Hixson and Margaret (Eugene) Drake; niece, Sara Leslie. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 5-8pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio. There will be an Eastern Star Service at 7:45pm to honor her 75 years of membership and being past Matron of Cary, Ch. 221. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Blanchester IOOF Cemetery, Blanchester, Ohio.
