Clarence William "Bill" Gossett of Milford, OH. Born on March 10, 1931 in Detroit, MI. Died peacefully at home with his family on December 31, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 53 years to Shirley (nee Cochran) Gossett. Loving father of Brenda (Donny) Horman and Jennifer (John Shannon) Gossett. Proud grandfather of Emma and Taylor Horman and Gavin Gossett. Cherished son of the late Clarence Wesley and Atha Susan (nee Tarter) Gossett. Dear brother of Eula Beatrice "Bea" Mathis, Lucy A. Johnson, Phyllis Gossett and the late Ila M. Pavey, Mary York, Roy Gossett and Bobby Gossett. Caring brother-in-law of Anita (Chuck) Kochis, Jim Cochran and the late Betty McCann-Cochran. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, many dear friends and beloved pets, Gunner and Frosty. Clarence proudly served in the United States Navy (Korean Conflict) as well as the United States Air Force. Clarence was a member of Milford Masonic Lodge No. 54 as well as the Milford American Legion Post 450. He was an avid golfer, loved listening to and playing country music. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and the best thing that ever happened to him was being Papaw to his three grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 1 PM at Christ Presbyterian Church, 5657 Pleasant View Dr., Milford, where friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of service. Interment with military honors, Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.
