Beloved husband of Jane (nee Holt) Benney, was born in Ahmeek, Michigan, in 1912, and passed away July 22, 2005 in Loveland, OH. He was a US Marine who was a Tail Gunner in the B-25's when he fought in the South Pacific during WWII. Clarence and Jane were married May 3rd, 1941, in Cincinnati, OH. They raised five children in Loveland, Richard, Jane Ann, Gayle, Steve, and Diane. They also have 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Clarence worked most of his life at American Bakeries in Cincinnati, where he started as a truck driver and finished as plant manager. After he retired from American Bakeries, Clarence and Jane bought a farm near the spillway of Cowan Lake, outside of Clarksville, OH, and turned the old farm house into a very successful restaurant, "The Spillway Lodge." Clarence will always be remembered for the sparkle in his eyes, boundless energy, prankish humor, fiery spirit, work ethic, love of family, and thoughtful heart. His love for his wife Jane was endless. Clarence will be profoundly missed and always remembered by all who knew him. A better man there has never been born. Family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the American Heart Association.
