Claire V. Ledford of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on January 27, 2021 at the age of 74. Born on January 13, 1947 in Mariemont, Ohio, daughter of Clarence and Garnette (nee Nichols) Vallandingham. Growing up in Blanchester, Ohio, she was a friend to many and a profound member of the community. Claire served on the Blanchester School Board for 24 years, retired from over 20 years as a Postmaster, and was a member of the Lions Club, Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She survived by her husband, Ernest S. Ledford; sons, Eric (Benicia) Ledford and Alan (Emily) Ledford; grandchildren, Riley, Reece, Jaxson, Emmett, and Keegan; sisters-in-law, Judy Ginther and Sandy Ledford. Along with her parents, Claire was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Ginther. Friends will gather from 5-8pm on February 1, 2021 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 11am on February 2, 2021 at Tufts Schildmeyer. Inurnment will take place at Blanchester IOOF Cemetery, Blanchester, Ohio.
