Christopher Lee “Chris” Gregory of Goshen, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2026, at the age of 54. Chris was born on October 2, 1972, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Sandy (née Smith) Isaacs and the late Wendell Louis Conley.
Chris is survived by his wife, Amy Lynn (née Miller) Gregory; his daughter, Brittany (Tyler) Jenkins; his beloved grandson, Kai Jenkins; his stepsons, Austin Wehrman and Alexander (Autumn) Wehrman; his step-grandchildren, Riley Wehrman, Zachary Wilson, Carolyn Wilson, Wayne Wilson, and Caliope Wehrman; his brother, Randy (Kim) Gregory; and his nephews, Jason Gregory, Ryan Gregory, and Brandon Gregory.
A 1991 graduate of Goshen High School, Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University before returning to his hometown school district as an educator in 1997. He spent his teaching career at Goshen, where he taught middle school students, and also coached baseball, basketball, and football at Goshen, Madeira, and Lakota. He took great pride in encouraging and mentoring generations of young people in the community he called home.
As a physical education teacher at Goshen Middle School, Chris brought enthusiasm, kindness, and encouragement to each day. He was known for his genuine care for students and his willingness to help them persevere when they doubted themselves. His colleagues valued his friendship, dedication, and the positive spirit he brought to the school’s close-knit staff.
Chris’ life and career were deeply rooted in Goshen. From his years as a student to his many years as a teacher and coach, he helped carry forward the community’s Warrior spirit. His legacy will live on in the students he encouraged, the colleagues who became friends, and the family who loved him.
Above all, Chris loved his family. After 36 years, Chris and Amy reconnected and started building a life together. They would have been married three years on October 21. They looked forward to growing old together and spending time loving on their grandchildren. Chris could not have been prouder of his daughter, Brittany, and the woman she has become. He also loved sharing stories about his beloved grandson and his eleven fur babies, who brought him so much joy.
Friends will be received on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Goshen Middle School Gymnasium, 6692 Goshen Road, Goshen, Ohio. A service celebrating Chris’ life will begin at 4:30 p.m. In keeping with Chris’ love of sports and his Goshen Warrior spirit, the family invites guests to wear their favorite athletic attire, especially Goshen gear, along with gym shoes. Please leave dress clothes and dress shoes at home as we gather to celebrate Chris’ life in a way that reflects the person he was.
