Chester "Ches" Charlton of Loveland. Beloved husband of 56 years to Shirley (nee Zinn) Charlton. Loving father of Steve (Becky) Charlton, Connie Charlton, and Scott (Kandice) Charlton. Proud grandfather of Ben, Mason, Bryson, Maddie and Eli. Dear brother of the late Roger Charlton. Passed away May 20, 2020 at the age of 76. Ches retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge and the Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite. His love of music was apparent with his 50's and 60's Rock-N-Roll collection. He loved coaching his children's little league teams and was very active in the Loveland Boosters. He was a big fan of the UC Bearcats, where he earned his Master's in Education. Friends will be received Saturday, May 23 from 11 AM - 12 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will follow at 12 PM. Interment Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, S.P.C.A., or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
